Here is a list of contact numbers of a few independent/semi-independent tour guides whose competence and good character the author can personally vouch for. Hopefully, with each trip, the list will grow longer. Questions on fee rates would be best answered by directly inquiring with the tour guides themselves. (For any other types of questions, or if you find out that any of these contact numbers are no longer in use, please indicate them in the comments section below.)

Basta makatulong sa turismo ng bayan natin.
This will helpful for my future travels … Nagalak akong malaman na gusto mong tumulong sa turismo ng bayan nating mahal. I used to blog about rants and raves but after a few months, it evolved into a travel blog. It was there that I found my niche. Blogging has never been fun, I must say, because of that.
Yep, at some point you’d get tired of all the ranting and would want to post something sane, calm and rational for a change. That’s what happened to me.
hi, your blog is very helpful, i’m thinking of going to batanes this june and I might go alone, ayoko kasing umasa na makakasama mga kaibigan ko, it would be a bday gift for myself kaya pupunta ako kahit mag-isa lang but i’m a little concern with the budget. kaya curious ako to know magkano nagastos mo when you went there alone para maihanda ko na sarili ko.. hehe salamat in advance..
Hi Teody! Thanks for the visit. Just to set your expectations, air travel to Batanes is VERY expensive because it’s still virtually monopolized by SEAir. Regular fares are above P14,000 round trip, and they rarely offer seat sales these days. However, once you’re in Batanes, everything’s fairly reasonable. Yun nga lang, since you’ll be alone, baka mapagastos ka rin. To give you an idea, I made an expenses report here: http://liquiddruid.wordpress.com/2010/02/08/batanes-travel-tips/ I still have to update that information though.
Just go ahead and ask if you have more questions.
Super helpful! I got Joam for my upcoming solo trip to Siquijor and I think I’ll check out Mr. Bulosan for my trip to Samar in June.
Hi Mia, thanks for the visit! I must remind you though that Orlando Bulosan is a guide for Biri Island only in the province of Northern Samar. If you intend to visit the spots in mainland Samar, I don’t think he can help you there. Have a nice trip in Siquijor!
Two thumbs up!
Thanks for visiting Mishen! Now I’m reminded that I actually need to update this page.
thanks for the reference, was reading your gigantes island tapos nakita ko may siam reap contact, will be there in feb kasi hehe
Glad I could help.
That list is not updated though. If you find that any contact information is no longer current, please do inform me so that I can update it. Thanks!
